London’s ULEZ and older vans
The ULEZ now covers all of London. A non-compliant van under 3.5 tonnes pays £12.50 a day, which works out at over £1,000 a year for a regular driver. As a rough guide, petrol vans from 2006 onwards and diesel vans from September 2016 onwards are compliant.

What happens next
Your van goes to a licensed Authorised Treatment Facility. You’ll receive a Certificate of Destruction and the DVLA is notified, so you’re no longer responsible for the vehicle. Any unused road tax is refunded automatically.
