What counts as proof of ownership?
- Photo ID such as a driving licence or passport, with a matching address
- A recent utility bill or bank statement at the same address
- A purchase receipt or finance settlement letter for the van, if you have one

How will I be paid?

Do I still need to tell the DVLA?
Yes. You’ll need to tell the DVLA the van has been scrapped – we’ll explain how when we arrange collection.
What happens next
Your van goes to a licensed Authorised Treatment Facility. You’ll receive a Certificate of Destruction and the DVLA is notified, so you’re no longer responsible for the van. Any unused road tax is refunded automatically.
